Welcome to this online gallery containing a selection of my photographs. Photography is a hobby, so all photographs have been taken for fun and to learn a little more about the world around me.
I was introduced to cameras, developing film and printing pictures at a young age, but I consider myself a novice who continues to experiment to see what could work.
Since progressing to a full format digital camera, I have also started printing again - but no darkroom needed now! I haven't printed all the pictures in my gallery, but where I have, I have included a description of the paper that I used. For a few pictures I experimented to see which paper gave me the best looking result, but mostly I selected a paper that I thought best suited the attributes of the picture. I have particularly enjoyed using textured papers to add a third dimension to a subject matter that was textured, and, I have also enjoyed using papers that have given the look of a painting to the photograph.
